Real lives are transformed through our initiatives. Here are a few stories that highlight the impact of our work:

From Classroom to Career: In Lagos, a bright student let’s call her Amina  nearly dropped out of secondary school due to financial hardship. After joining a Lani Foundation education programme, she received a scholarship and mentoring support that enabled her to finish her schooling with top marks. Amina has since progressed to university on a full bursary and volunteers as a tutor in her old neighbourhood. Her journey from the brink of dropping out to becoming a role model educator illustrates how targeted support in education can break cycles of poverty and inspire a new generation.

 Healthy Mothers, Healthy Communities: In a rural village in Cross River State, the Foundation helped establish a maternal health centre in partnership with local authorities. Before the centre opened, expectant mothers in the area had to travel long distances for care, and complications often went untreated. Today, thanks to our trained community midwives and the new clinic, mothers like Ekene (a f irst-time mother in the village) are giving birth safely and receiving proper postnatal care. The rate of healthy births has risen and infant mortality has sharply declined. This success story demonstrates how investing in maternal health saves lives and strengthens entire communities.

These stories are just a glimpse of the many lives changed by the Lani Foundation. Each success whether a youth achieving their dreams or a family gaining access to essential services  motivates us to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
