LANI Foundation commenced the New Year with the support for literacy advancement initiative. To support early childhood education and literacy advancement of children, LANI Foundation kicked of 2014 with the commencement of her “Literacy Advancement Initiative”. With the support of her volunteers and donors within and outside the country, a library was installed at the Home of God’s Grace Mission Agbowa (HGGM), Ikorodu. The library provides educational, recreational and cultural resources for children aged 2-17yrs.

The library contains a large collection of picture books, story books and nonfictional books. HGGM is an orphanage with 53 children in resident. It was set up by Mrs Grace Moboluwajoko in 1992 to support widows and orphaned children. In the coming months, reading, spelling and life skill programmes will hold to ensure effective use of services. The foundation is grateful to our dedicated volunteers and donors for supporting this initiative. The next phase will be a library installation in Cross River State.
